On behalf of our students, staff and faculty, I invite you to be part of our double anniversary academic 2015 – 2016 year. We are celebrating two milestones: the 75th 'diamond' anniversary of our department and the 50th 'golden' anniversary of our seminar program.
We plan on live-streaming and uploading online all of this year’s guest lectures and like to know if you are interested in getting weekly email updates and biographical information about our lectures and guest speakers. These seminars are held on Thursdays at 4:30 - 5:20pm (EST) in our Chemistry Amphitheatre. View our seminar schedule for the year.
As part of our double anniversary celebrations, we will inaugurate the Dwain L Ford Lecture Series in honor of former department Chair and Professor, Dwain L Ford.
If you like to join our celebrations, we encourage you to send your anniversary greeting either in written form or as a video message. Greetings should include your name, title/position and organization/institution. We will read and/or view anniversary greetings each Thursday as part of our year-long celebrations. Greetings will also be posted online. You can post greetings, photos and video at #7550auchem.
Andrews University is nationally ranked as one of the top ethnically and internationally diverse schools and number 3 among the best small colleges for STEM. Our Journal of Chemical Education article describes unique aspects of our undergraduate seminar program in more detail.
We look forward to your participation in our year-long double anniversary celebrations and guest lecture series. Please contact me: Associate Professor Desmond H Murray by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (269) 757-1641.
